Japan - one of the fastest developing countries on the world and for sure a country of new, modern technology. In the past, Japan often fought in many different wars and they were struggling with many problems and invasions. In the time of the war between russia and japan, japanese authorities realize that cars in the army might be very helpful. The american company locomobile brought to japan steam cars for sale. They very liked, liked so much that even some enthusiasts starded to make theme on their own (they took an imported engine and put it in their handmade cars).  Just a few years later a craftsman named taro yamaha released the first home produced steam driven bus for 10 passengers - 10 soldiers.

The Japanese were very clever they brought cars most often from USA and they tried to build something similiar. What's interesting they were very successful because these cars and trucks were very effectively copies, they had their own bodies but they used an imported engine. What's funny nobody shared their secrets, technologies how to make this high quality, fast and cheap car, later they started to build whole resorts and new factories and it was running up quite good. Japan got new investors attention and started to be a fast developing country.
