car culture

The history of a car culture, so all the car meets, car collections, car museums and car shows and every other events with cars that take place these days, they had been also very popular in the old days,  but they were a little bit different....
In the old days, back in the 1800s, when cars hadn't been invented yet they all did that things not with cars but with horses, horses and carriage - car of those times. They used it like we use our cars now, so they also liked to show off (like telling stories about your car, how fast and rare it is, how many prizes it won) and they all did that but with their horses. There were special events like racing and beauty contest.
The first car, benz patent- motorwagen nummer 1 was released in 1885 and people so fast changed their horses on cars because only nine years later the first car race was being held. People started expirement with cars more and more and tried to do the same things they did with horses for example; car polo which was very popular in the early 1900s.
Game, where two teams, two cars each, and in one car two people, first the driver and second the "malletman" (a person with a long stick for hitting the ball) were trying to put the ball in the goal which was about  4,7 metres in width. The whole field was about 91 metres in length and 31 metres in width.
